What's the role?
A Global Media Buyer plays a pivotal role in our ability to deliver successful behavioural digital marketing campaigns. The role stretches from active shaping/ ownership of our global paid strategy, to supporting its execution and continuous improvement.

What does the role involve?
Be at the forefront of digital marketing and sales at Hilti / Consolidate and rationalize media buying decisions at global level to benefit from scale effects.
In the early months in the role, the candidate shall actively shape Hilti’s global media buy strategy -including identifying the right channels/ media mix and potential partner agencies globally. The ideal candidate will negotiate agreements with media sales companies to secure the best media mix at the most competitive rates (with a strong initial focus on online). Closely collaborating with global and regional owners of behavioral marketing campaigns, our global buyer will ensure that our paid media strategy is supporting broader digital marketing and business objectives across the organization.
Potential tasks include (but are not limited to): plan and coordinate launch of media campaigns with global digital marketing and sales teams, help identify target audiences, actively execute media buy in pilots/ incubating phases of global marketing campaigns, , prepare schedules and adjust when necessary, ensure paid advertising is successfully set-up in automated marketing campaigns, experiment with new platforms and channels, systematically analyze media buy performance to maximize campaign goals – globally.

What you need is:
- 5+ years experience in media planning and buying (including programmatic), as well as direct experience working with or at agencies
- Strategic and financial acumen to understand spend mechanics and prioritize initiatives in a global context
- Demonstrated negotiation skills in large-scale media buy agreements at regional or global level
- Exceptional oral and presentation skills, equally effective in both formal and informal settings: fluent English
- Experience working in scrum & agile frameworks
- Working knowledge of media analytics software
- Knowledge of the broader Salesforce.com Marketing platform (e.g. Advertising Studio) a plus
